Mr Kazunori Uchida
Kazunori Uchida joined the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications (MPT) in 1988. He was involved with the Postal Savings Bureau in implementing measures such as cash flow management, international remittance services, and the introduction of foreign currency exchange services at post offices. During his time in the Finance Department of the MPT in 1998, he participated in the negotiation of the Japan-United States Framework for a New Economic Partnership on Government Procurement, and worked to adapt procurement procedures at the MPT to the WTO system.

Mr Uchida has considerable international experience. He worked at the Brussels Office of the Research Institute of Telecommunications and Economies to observe the European postal liberalization, and has participated in many UPU activities, serving on one of the first Board of Trustees for the Quality Service Funds. He was also the Postmaster of the Office of Exchange at Narita Airport.

He is now a Cooperative Management Board member of Asia Pacific Post, a Board member of the Kahala Post Group and Co-Chair of Committee 3 of the Postal Operations Council of the UPU.
