Ms Amparo Estruch Drug Control and Crime Prevention OfficerInternational Narcotics Control Board (INCB)
Ms. Amparo Estruch Mascarell is the Drug Control and Crime Prevention Officer for the Project ION (International Operation on NPS). She works to supporting the Global Rapid Interdiction of Dangerous Substances (GRIDS) Programme operating under the International Narcotics Control Board (INCB) at the United Nations Office at Vienna, Austria.
She has extensive experience as a police investigator officer fighting against organized crime groups dealing with illicit drugs trafficking, money laundering, human being trafficking and related crimes in national and international context. She worked for the Spanish National Police for 8 years and for the European Union Agency for Law Enforcement Cooperation, EUROPOL, for 11 years. From 2020 to 2021 she was with UNODC Laboratory and Scientific Section (LSS), too.
Amparo studied law at Universitat de València, Spain and completed the judicial police training at the Spanish National Police Academy.
