Dr Toni Männistö Head of ResearchCross-border Research Association

Dr. Toni Männistö is Head of Research at Cross-border Research Association (CBRA), a Swiss institute of supply chain and customs security and trade facilitation. He holds a PhD in Management of Technology that he obtained at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) in 2015. Before embarking on the PhD program, he graduated (MSc) in Industrial Engineering and Management from Aalto University of Technology, Helsinki. Dr. Männistö has been with Cross-border Research Association since 2009, and during this time he has worked together with customs, private sector and academic experts to secure and facilitate the flow of international cargo. His current research interests include customs risk management, postal and express security, coordinated border management, and air cargo security.
